PROTECTION THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS
“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”
Exodus 12:13 (ASV)
Main Text:
After a devastating plague in the nation of Egypt, Pharaoh refused to let God’s people go, so God sent a final plague to “smite all the first born in the land of Egypt.” Satan knew the Children of Israel had broken covenant with God and were due judgement, God could protect them but not without blood. God instructed them to take the blood of a lamb and paint it on their doorposts they obeyed and the angel of death passed them by.
Was it really the blood of the lamb that stopped them from being killed? No! it was the blood of The Lamb (Jesus) who was slain from the foundation of the world. Rev 13:8 “All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast — all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.”
The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel. The blood of Abel spoke vengeance, whilst the blood of Jesus spoke freedom. What the blood spoke is best explained in the Greek word “Sozo” which means to make well/whole, to save, deliver, heal and preserve. Jesus died so you might be preserved! No accident can come near your dwelling place.
Confession: Jesus is my advocate! I am delivered and protected from the hands of the devil, I enjoy total protection, no harm can come near my dwelling place! I am protected from any form of hazard; I have total peace in Jesus name!
