HAVING PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING
“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesusâ€
Philippians 4:7
Main Text:
The say today is that, you prepare for war in time of peace. However to a believer, war is not what you prepare for rather, you seek peace with all people so that you can have all round peace in life.
The best way to have peace in this troublesome world is to stay closer to God. The nearer we come to God, the more He’ll reveal Himself to us. When the prodigal son comes to his father, his father runs to meet him. (Luke 15:11-32).
Come then, dear friend, draw close to God who so graciously awaits us, who runs to meet us. God has a plan for you to live in peace—peace that passes understanding. What does that mean?
It means that you can have peace in your heart when it doesn’t make sense to stay calm—when the world around you is anxious and upset; when circumstances are beyond your control; when things aren’t going the way you thought they would. Many of us are like the disciples. We worry about our problems. We’re afraid of bad things happening. We may panic in a crisis. Or maybe we shout furiously to get out of the storm! You serve a good God, and no matter how things look like today, He is always ready to calm the situation for you.
When you are one and in unity with the Father through Christ Jesus, His supernatural peace will automatically begin to fill your heart. Seek God today by reading your Bible, praying, meditating on His promises and worshiping Him. With an open heart, you can draw near to God, just as you are, right where you are, and He will fill you with His peace and goodness all the days of your life! May you be overwhelmed with peace that passes all understanding in this year of His Kingdom.
Prayer: Lord, I thank You for giving me peace in time of troubles
