BE INSTANT
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
2 Tim 4:2
Main Text: Main Text: Matthew 28:19-20
The phrase "Be instant in season and out of season" means to act promptly before the opportunity passes. God is calling us to speak to our neighbors and friends about Jesus without delay. The word translated as “instant” comes from the Greek word for “stand,” suggesting a state of always being "on duty," "standing by," and "ready to go." This term also conveys a sense of urgency in the original language. You must be prepared to preach the Word at all times! It is a great privilege to share the message of Jesus and to be His ambassador in every situation.
Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" (Matthew 9:37). Why not allow yourself to plug into God's will through evangelism? Be instant and ready to act. The Apostle Paul did not speak out of mere chance; he spoke from a deep understanding of God's will. You must be instant—always ready, always prepared to share the message of Jesus. The term "instant" means to act without delay. Be seasoned in your approach and ready to preach the gospel swiftly. Time is of the essence; do it quickly!
Don’t be selfish with the gospel! Souls are perishing, and it’s our responsibility to share the message of salvation. Devote yourself to soul winning; talk about Jesus with passion and conviction. Don’t be ashamed of Him or His message. Embrace the call to spread the gospel and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Confession:
In the Name of Jesus, I boldly declare that I preach the gospel instantly, with urgency and passion, as the Lord commands. As I share the message of salvation and the truths of His Word, I am empowered and blessed by the Lord.
