A GOOD FIGHT 1

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day…
II Timothy 4:7-8
Main Text:

The life of every believer is full of actions, there is no time a Christian lives a passive life. Even though it is expected of us, the believers to be peace-loving at all times, there will be a moment serious action would be taken to get some things done. Yes, I totally agree. Every child of God must pursue peace with all men. But the scripture says, fight the good fight of faith. The good fight of faith is not even about physical weapons, but of spiritual.

While you are maintaining peace, God has also empowered you to refuse every lie of the devil. It is not a mark of humility to be sick or poor. It is not humility to be oppressed and depressed. No one will want to listen to you if you cannot eat one square meal a day not to say of three. No one will appreciate your message if you cannot afford the basic things of life. Understand me well beloved, yes, there may be seasons of lack, but that is not supposed to be our life style in faith. When you get into those seasons of contradiction, rise up in your spirit and fight the good fight of faith. Take the word of God back to Him in prayer, confront your fears, attack your challengers and be assured that victory is yours when you challenge with the prevailing Word of God burning in you.

What is the fight of faith? It is the fight for the word that God gave you, the promises of God. God has released His word but the devil has come to steal the word, to make it a lie, so you have to rise up against anything that is contrary to the Word of God in you.

Prayer: Keep my mind stayed on Your Word O Lord.
