ABEL'S BLOOD VERSUS JESUS' BLOOD 1
"And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel."
Hebrews 12:24 (KJV)
Main Text:
To begin with, it is imperative to note that blood speaks and from the verse above, we see both blood spoke, however, one spoke death and vengeance whilst the other spoke life and in the Greek SOZO.
Sozo is a compound word. “Sozo” is the Greek word for salvation, yet its root meaning goes beyond just the forgiveness of sins. According to Strong’s Concordance, Sozo also carries the idea of being physically healed of diseases and to be delivered from your enemy. In the spiritual sense, that enemy is the devil and his demons. Salvation means deliverance from sin, protection from danger, sicknesses and diseases, poverty, lack and want. All these, the blood of Jesus spoke against in the life of a divine child.
Genesis 4:4; "Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering." (NKJV)
Notice this, the Lord respected both Abel and his offering. What is the significance of this? The key word here is "respect" which is also employed in God's dealing with His covenant people Israel. Exodus 2:24-25; "And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them." (KJV)
Confession; I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, my life is hid with Christ in God. I am holy, I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Prayer; May the blood of Jesus keep speaking and working for me
