OPPORTUNITY 2

“Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. “People of Israel," he said, "what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness?”
Acts 3:12(NLT)
Main Text:

Opportunity from where I stopped yesterday according to its Greek translation refers to time as a measurable resource. We tend to think of our time in a chronos mindset. We think of having 24 hours in a day. We define our workweeks by the number of hours that we work.

This Chronos season is also our time of preparedness. It is important for us to be prepared at any time for any opportunity. Peter was prepared, he understood times and seasons and that led to a great revival. Ephesians 5:16 “Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” (NLT) Colossians 4:5 “Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. (NLT)

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “Everything on earth has its own time and its own season.” (CEV) Times of opportunities must be discerned, however, you cannot successfully identify profitable opportunities on your own accord, you need the help of the Holy Spirit. John 16:13 “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” (ESV)

When we are offered an opportunity, there’s supposed to be something in it for you, however, it will most likely include a benefit for the person asking as well. God desires to bless his people, however, we need to be rightly positioned, and able to swiftly recognize when he presents us with opportunities. Peter saw his opportunity and made the most of it, and the church enjoyed the blessing that comes with recognizing an opportunity. Acts 3:12 “Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd.” (NLT)

Confession: I declare, I’m a king, I decree peace, I decree victory, I got divine prosperity working in me, I do not fail! Why? Because all things work together for good to them that love God. There’s only one way in my life, only one way and that’s the way of prosperity, glory to God I’m blessed.
