THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – WHAT IS PEACE? 3

God’s peace transcends earthly matters. Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (NIV)

Believers are to be anxious for nothing God assures us that He will guard our hearts and minds. It is a peace which surpasses all understanding. The Spirit filled Christian has the peace that is abundant, available in every situation and unlike anything the world has to offer. John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (NIV) The alternative to being filled with the Spirit and His peace is to be filled with alarm, doubt, fear and anything contrary to God’s word. Choose to grow in the Spirit and enjoy the peace of God. Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Confession: I am the body of Christ and Satan has no power over me, for I overcome evil with good, I am of God and have overcome Satan. Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world, I fear no evil for He is with me. Glory to God I am blessed.
