THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The primary mission of the Holy Spirit is clear: soul-winning. Jesus declared in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” This divine empowerment was given not for personal indulgence but for fulfilling the Great Commission. The Holy Spirit equips every believer to be a witness, making soul-winning the central focus of their mission. From the moment you received the Holy Spirit, you were empowered for evangelism. The Spirit’s role is not primarily to guide you into acquiring material possessions or living a life of luxury. Rather, He was given to enable us to reach the lost and advance the kingdom of God.

Jesus Himself demonstrated this. After receiving the Holy Spirit at His baptism, He was led into the wilderness for a period of fasting and preparation. Following this, He began His public ministry, proclaiming the gospel with power. Matthew 4:17 records, “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” The same Spirit that empowered Jesus now resides in you. His purpose is to equip you to preach, teach, and win souls for Christ. Souls are precious to God. Mark 8:36 reminds us of their value: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

As a believer, you are called to prioritize what God values most—souls. You must commit to being a soul-winner, for every soul is priceless in God’s eyes. The Holy Spirit was given to you not just for comfort or guidance but to fulfill the greatest mandate of all: reaching the world with the gospel. Embrace this calling and let the Spirit lead you into a life of impact and purpose.

I declare, I am fully dedicated to what matters most – winning souls for the Kingdom of God. I am a soul winner, passionate about sharing the gospel and bringing many into the family of God. I seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and as I do, I thrive in every area of my life. I am blessed, righteous, and fruitful in all I do for the Lord. Hallelujah!
