ASK FOR A NEW LIFE
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.â€
John 3:3
Main Text:
There’s no half obedience in the standard of God, it’s either you obey the Lord or you don’t. To follow and obey the Lord, you need to have His Spirit through your accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour in life. It’s the Spirit of the Lord that quickens your mortal body to respond as required to spiritual warning. You won’t need to struggle with God but by His Spirit, you will live a befitting life on the earth. The flesh profits nothing get a new life that will be led and directed by the Lord.
Beloved, you won’t need to mix things up as far as godliness is concerned. Our world is so choked up with the affairs of life and many of the elect are also following this perilous ways. If you are born again you will possess the Spirit of God and that is what differentiates you from ordinary people. Your church attendance may deceive you into believing that you are truly a child of God. This isn’t so. Church activities do not translate to being born again. You are regenerated at salvation and a new spirit, the Holy Spirit, will automatically possess you. The old nature is dropped and you have a new life.
It’s this new life and character coupled with the in-filling of the Holy Spirit that qualifies you for positive relationship with Christ. This also is your gateway to eternal life. Of what value is your soul if it’s not in the hands of the Almighty? Why are you here on earth if your life is not giving pleasure to God? Therefore, you need to speak to yourself and ask God for a new life through faith in Jesus Christ.
Don’t allow a carryover of last year errors into this year. Secure new loads of blessings and let God have His way in your life.
Prayer: Father, create in me a new heart and help me to cooperate with your Holy Spirit as I go through this year
