YOU CAN BEAR MUCH MORE FRUIT

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”
John 15:8
Main Text:

The first command God gave to man was to be fruitful (Genesis 1:28). This was a declarative statement to the first couple. The Bible says; herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:8

Fruitfulness is expected of you because God has already given you the capacity to be fruitful. As you win souls, no matter how few, He will count you worthy for pruning so that you can move to the next level of bearing more fruit (John 15:2). But that is not the end of the story. What really gladdens God’s heart is when you bring forth much fruit. How fruitful are you? This year, everything standing between you and a higher level of fruitfulness shall give way in Jesus name.

In 1 Samuel 2:21, Hannah asked God for one boy but she ended up with six children. Are you trusting God for the fruit of the womb this year? The Lord will answer your prayer in Jesus name. Your expectations shall not be dashed and beyond your request, the Lord will give you more.

The Bible says quite a bit about bearing fruit. Without exception we’re chosen to bear fruit. Bible pictures are often lessons on which we can base our lives. John chapter 15 is one such passage of Scripture. To become more fruitful, our lives have to be pruned. This means cutting away the things that hinder fruit bearing - the useless things that take up time and energy, easily besetting sins that hinder our walk with the Lord Jesus. Pruning can be painful, but without it we will remain stagnant. Some of the painful things we experience are often God’s way of pruning and cleansing us so that we can be more fruitful.

Fruitfulness results from remaining in Jesus. No branch can bear fruit unless it remains attached to the tree. We cannot bear fruit unless we stay attached to Jesus.

Prayer: Let us pray for every couple trusting God for the fruit of the womb
