THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – WHAT IS PATIENCE? 2

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23(ESV)
Main Text:

As the Spirit produces patience in us, He is making us more Christ like. God is patient with sinners and that patience leads to our repentance. Romans 2:4Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?” (ESV) God had immense patience with the evil people of Noah’s day, delaying judgment as long as possible. 1 Peter 3:20 “because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.” (ESV) Today, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. 2 Peter 3:15 “And remember, the Lord's patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him.” (NLT) The opposite of patience is agitation, discouragement, and a desire for revenge. God does not want His children to live in agitation but in peace. He wants to dispel discouragement and replace it with hope and praise. God is patient and His Spirit produces the fruit of patience in us. When we are patient we create room for God to work in our hearts and our relationships.

Confession:  Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, Christ has redeemed me from poverty, sickness and spiritual death. I am a Spirit being, therefore, I am patient. I have promotion now, I have increase now, in the name of Jesus money comes to me. I am blessed.
