WHO WILL YOU OBEY?

And the people said unto Joshua, The Lord our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
Joshua 24:24 KJV
Main Text:

The warnings and corrections of the Lord are for our benefits. Anyone without discipline is not different from a bastard for the Bible says in Hebrews 12:8, But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Every true winner will go through the wilderness experience. Jesus learnt obedience through the things He suffered and He was temperate in all ways. You can’t outsmart God. The Bible says concerning Jesus in Hebrews 5:7-9: Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared; Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him.

You need to decide where you truly want to be. The Lord’s side or the world’s side. The side of the world will be so easy for the flesh to conform to. You can disobey God to honour the devil but don’t forget that the end of such activities tends towards destruction. You need to learn obedience by sitting at the feet of Christ to hear and to obey Him in spirit and in truth. Don’t be deceived, God sees all and He will surely separate the sheep in the kingdom from the goats. The goats are those whose minds are made up to follow the world despite the warnings and instructions made available to them. Pray about your response to God’s word and make ready everything within you to love, obey and serve the living God. If you do this, your path will be made straight and you will be free from the guilt of hell.

Prayer; Father, give me the grace to run the heavenly race without looking at what the world wants to offer.
