DO NOT REJECT CHASTISEMENT
“For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes.
Hebrews 12:6
Main Text:
We all need corrections—and when you feel not. Danger is looming—I believe it is the Lord’s first desire to correct us Himself. Whom the Lord loves, He chastens. God’s correction or chastisement is not to break; it is always to make good.
Who should talk to you if not God? If God is not your counsellor and guide then your acclaimed future struggle is all vanity. The Lord knows them that are His. Not by the raising of your hands in giving your life to Christ only but by making a conscious effort to get God till the end of your life or peradventure Jesus appears the second time to take the saints home.
Are you truly a child of God? It’s needless and hopeless to deceive yourself over this question. You can give a search to the way you have conducted your life over the past months and years. The voice of God through the manifestation of the Holy Spirit will always lead you into all goodness.
Are you still living immorally all in the name of seeking help and support? You can’t continue in sin and ask God to give you more grace. If you are His true child He will surely settle you. If you have succeeded in struggling all your life with no trace of grace you need to check if you truly belong to God!
The Door can only open to sons and daughters of the kingdom. Are you of His Kingdom or the devil’s? Your fruits and lifestyle bears record. You can come back to God today because tomorrow may be too late! Don’t be lost to sin and iniquity. Come back to Christ the lover of your soul! Don’t reject His chastisement. He will establish His Kingdom in your life.
Prayer: Take me, wash me and make me clean all over again O Lord.
