GOD STILL RESCUE FROM THE LIONS

“Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?”
Daniel 6:20b
Main Text:

In 2015, a lion while being fed escaped in Kenya’s wildlife. The wandering lion was shot dead at sight, why? No one can undermine the havoc it can unleash on the people around. Face to face with a hungry lion could be a suicidal mission. But we’ve all been in situations where we feel like we are about to be “eaten up” or destroyed by ‘lions’ especially in 2018 when the economy was so bad and nothing was working for the average man. Some of us, our ‘lions’ are those people in our offices. You can never satisfy them no matter how dedicated you are. Others, the troublesome challenges in their lives are their ‘lions’. They’re so afraid, they lack courage. No fixed church, no prayer styles, never given to the study of the word. Their whole life is so empty and full of rubbish. How would they get Rhema of the Word of God when the ‘evil lions’ are always roaring at them?

Daniel lived a life of excellence and found favour with the king who kept promoting and giving him more authority which made the other administrators (lions) jealous and angry. They eventually manipulated the king into signing a law that Daniel could not follow.

Daniel prayed and still found himself in the lion’s den. How would you respond in that situation? I’m sure Daniel believed that God would deliver him and hoped it would even be before he was thrown into that den. Have you ever prayed and prayed for something and it looked like things just kept getting worse? Daniel trusted that God was working His plan for His glory. In the end, Daniel was protected and his enemies were destroyed. I speak over today that every seeming lion that is harassing you shall be tamed and disgraced in the name of Jesus.

When it looks like you are heading into the lions’ den, don’t be discouraged because God is ahead of you. Prayer: Fill my heart with Your World O Lord.
