ARE YOU DREAMING A GODLY HOME? 1

“Through wisdom is a house built; and by understanding it is established:”
Proverbs 24:3
Main Text:

Your home is expected to radiate the glory of God as a believer where love, joy and peace reign. The presence of these three virtues will determine how much of God your home can accommodate. A peaceful home should be your desire. War and strife give no room for progress, development and success. It is therefore important that you seek wisdom to get the best of God for your home. The Bible says; “The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.” (Proverbs 3:33). Wisdom is a major factor in building a godly home. If you will build to last, you need to consider the foundation you want to lay, carefully select the best material and seek counsel on how to make a success of the entire project-Ibukun Odusote (PRISCA 2018). If you lack the required understanding, you are preparing for a crash in future except you seek God and ask Him to meet you at the point of your need. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). You can only get a glorious home if you are not laying your foundation on sin (infidelity in particular). Who your partner is will determine how good or bad your future home will be. If your relationship is not built on the Word and the fear of the Lord then you are building it on rubbish, maybe social media. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers…” (2 Corinthians 6:1) If you choose a sinner friend for your future husband or wife, you can only expect the results of sin in your future home. What are some of these results? Domestic violence, quarrel, unfaithfulness, lack of trust, selfishness, pains, and finally, divorce/separation etc. Seek counsel with your pastor today before further damage is done in your home. Prayer: Let my home ring honour to your name O Lord Further Reading: Proverbs 24:3-4 Read through the Bible: Nehemiah 8 & Luke 14
