A BLESSED FAMILY

“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Genesis 1:28
Main Text: Main text: Colossians 3:13

The family was established and blessed by God. The Lord provides us the essential guidelines in the bible for a blessed family. GOD is the builder of our family. I believe God wants to bless you and your family. But you have to lay the right foundation in order to have a family that is blessed and built by God. Psalm 128:1 and 4 say, “Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD.” Twice in this Psalm we are encouraged to fear the Lord. To have a good family, each family member should have a healthy respect and reverence for God.
A blessed family is one whose focal point is God, Joshua said “as for me and my house, we would serve the Lord” (Josh. 24:15) a family whose mind is stayed in God is bound to walk in the blessing, either the blessing of longevity, prosperity, love, joy and all the blessings of God! Why not decide to give your family wholly to God and watch Him change the story of your household.
One of the very first promises of the Bible is a promise God gave to Abraham—part of that promise included God’s desire to bless Abraham’s family and through him to bless all the families of the earth! For those of us living under the New Testament, the Lord wanted to be sure we understood that this promise wasn’t just for Abraham or for the Jewish people, but it was for us as Christians. Listen to this: “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Gal. 3:29) In other words, if we would believe in God and His promises and live accordingly, our families could experience His love, goodness, and blessings. God wants to bless your family – do you believe it?
Confession:
I decree in the name of Jesus, my family is blessed! We prosper on all sides in Jesus name, Amen.
