AND REMEMBER ISAAC SOWED
“Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed himâ€
Genesis 26:12, NIV
Main Text:
The book of Hebrews 11:6 made it clear that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. That’s the assurance that holds our faith together in God. You are certain before the end of the project that your reward is settled. Working with God is a faith project. You need to believe that God is seeing you and He will not just watch you but watch over you and deliver all that concerns you as at when due. The Bible has no record of people who worked with God in vain. Your case will not be different. He’s seeing your labour of love and because He’s a diligent record keeper, He will reward you accordingly.
When Isaac got blessed, the people around him, the Philistines and his friends all of the sudden got jealous of him. They were fine as long as he was broke. As long as they were at the same level, it was no big deal. But when he stepped up to a new level, when he began to showcase his blessings well, the Scripture says, “The Philistines hated Isaac.”
Maybe you’ve noticed this in your own life. When you start to do better, the people around you don’t celebrate. They become jealous. But you can’t allow the attitudes of others to hold you back and cause you to live in lack. Genesis 26:12
Your service is your seed. All you are dong with God and concerning His work are your seeds unto greatness. There’s a season of harvest for all. You can’t but reap the fruits of your labour. This is the reason why you must labour diligently to be at your best per time!
Mark you, Isaac was really obedient to God and that was why he was successful during the famine when others were languishing in hunger. Can God approve of your own obedience?
Prayer: Father God, thank You for every good and perfect gift that You have poured out on my life.
