IS GOD’S PRESENCE VISIBLE IN YOU?
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:13
Main Text:
God’s presence is with you when walking in divine life. Honestly speaking, God is not just with you, His presence is for you and to cap it up, He is in you. Its effect can be so strong that people around you will notice it. The presence of God with Joseph was noticed by his master (Genesis 39:3). When God is with you, people will know. You cannot feign God’s presence for any reason. When Samson lost the presence of God and was awakened from sleep, he shook himself and did his usual exercises and gymnastics, yet the power was nowhere to be found (Judges 16:19-20). God is not in the superficial activities. It is either He is in you or He is not. And don’t forget that the Spirit of God cannot dwell in confusion. And if you claim He is with you, why is it that those around you cannot notice Him in your life? Whatever is covering God’s presence in your life shall be consumed by fire. When people know that God is with you, they will be very careful about what they do to you or with you. And you too need to constantly walk in the fear of God so that sin will not rule in your life.
The effect of God’s presence was also seen in the life of Peter and John after a miracle took place in the early church. A popular lame man of over 40 years was healed. This news was all over town. Peter and James were carriers of God’s presence. You too can be a carrier of His presence irrespective of your academic, social or financial status if you are born again. Can it be said by people around that you had been with Jesus? When last did you tarry in His presence for hours, days weeks or months?
Prayer: Father, from today, let it be visible that I have been with you.
