THE BENEFITS OF BEING RIGHTEOUS

“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NRSV)
Main Text:

When you were born again, you weren’t half reborn, you weren’t made half righteous or quarter righteous. You were made the righteousness of God in Christ! You were made a joint heir with Him. The term joint heir refers to personal equality based on an equality of possession. Jesus went to the cross to give you what He already possessed. He rose again so you could be re-created in His image. You’re more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.

There are several benefits attributed to being made righteous; Ps 92:12 “The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” Prov 11:21 “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” Ps 34:17 “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”

Don’t let the devil rob you of even one of these blessings by telling you – you’re unworthy! Run him off, shout aloud, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus” then step out in faith and enjoy the privileges God has prepared for you!

Confession

I am a new creature, dead to sin full of the Holy Ghost. I am alive unto righteousness, I am seated in heavenly places, I am prosperous, everything I lay my hands upon prospers, I am a star! I am a success! I am glorious!
