TOTAL MAN CONCEPT
“And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed.”
Luke 22:41
Main Text: Main Text: Luke 21:36
Prayer requires the engagement of the entire person. When we examine the life of Jesus, we see that He was deeply devoted to prayer, fully involving His whole being in communion with God. Luke 21:36 “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Jesus reveals to us the concept of discovering the secrets of the Lord, and this foundational practice is rooted in prayer. Through prayer, we gain insight and understanding of God's mysteries and deepen our relationship with Him.
The total man concept in prayer is profound and transformative. When you fully commit yourself to prayer, God floods your heart with His desires. Jesus Himself experienced this; although He wished to avoid dying for mankind, God's will overshadowed His own because He was a man devoted to prayer. As a result of His obedience, over 7.9 billion people now have access to redemption. Philippians2:13“For it is[not your strength, but it is]God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.”
Prayer is the tool that enables you to accomplish the works of God. It is not reserved for the five-fold ministry but is for every believer. Dedicate yourself wholly to God in prayer, as it is not just an activity but an integral part of your identity. Prayer is who you are, not just what you do.
Confession:
I declare, I give myself wholly to seeking God, I am a person after God’s heart and I seek Him with the entirety of my being, in Jesus name.
