STEPS TO WISDOM
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these saying s of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”
Matt 7:24-27
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: Proverbs 4:7
Our Lord Jesus Christ declared that anyone who hears and obeys His words is like a wise man (Matthew 7:24). His words are profound and carry the keys to divine wisdom. Among His final instructions to us is the Great Commission, as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” This command is not merely a suggestion; it is a mandate to reach the world for Christ. Obeying this commission—to be a soul winner—is a pathway to divine wisdom. As the Bible affirms in Proverbs 11:30: “He that winneth souls is wise.”
Choosing to obey Jesus’ final instruction reflects true wisdom; ignoring it is folly. Soul winning is often overlooked as a vital aspect of wisdom, yet it holds the secret to both spiritual and material prosperity. Jesus promised in Matthew 28:20 that when we obey the Great Commission, “I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” The presence of God in a person’s life is the foundation of true prosperity. Genesis 39:2 illustrates this beautifully: “And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man.” When God is with you, every aspect of your life flourishes.
To experience true prosperity, you must desire to be a soul winner. What could be greater than having God’s abiding presence? Nothing compares. Commit yourself to seeking Him and pursuing His interests—reaching souls for His kingdom—and watch as He transforms your life in extraordinary ways.
Confession:
I declare, I obey the words of Jesus Christ, and by so doing, I walk in the wisdom of God. I dedicate myself to the mandate of soul winning, bringing many into the kingdom. I am blessed and highly favored. Hallelujah!
