ABIDE IN GOD OF ALL COMFORT
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;â€
2 Corinthians 1:3
Main Text:
In the letter of Apostle Paul to the Romans he wrote: “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18. On the strength of this word, I’m therefore glad to announce to you this day that regardless of the present situation in your life, and no matter how terrible things may appear at this moment, your season of glorious manifestation will show forth and your joy will be full. The Lord will intervene concerning your matter just like He did in Exodus 3:7-8. He was greatly moved by the cry of the children of Israel and sent a deliverer unto them. At a time like this, when it appears you are left alone without any helper and comforter, God will appear and wipe away your sweat and tears. He will save you. Therefore be of good cheer.
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;” (2 Corinthians 1:3). The Holy Spirit is the Comforter. He’s your Partner in times like this when it appears the chips are down. Tears will not wash away reproach or shame. You can only trust God to comfort you and show you the way forward. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4).
Beloved, you need the Holy Spirit more than anything else. If you desire true friendship, comfort and peace, you must be thirsty for His presence. Get up from that position and engage the Spirit of the Lord for your needed answers and deliverance.
Prayer: Father, please baptise me afresh with your Holy Spirit and let me be greatly comforted from all issues of life especially at a time like this.
