FORGIVE

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Colossians 3:13
Main Text: Main text: Isaiah 55:7

When Jesus died for us, He did something beyond the opening of blind eyes or raising the dead. He forgave us and made us righteous, holy and sanctified. To be forgiven by God means that the weight of your transgressions is lifted, and a spiritual renewal takes place. The act of forgiveness is a divine declaration that, through faith in Jesus Christ, any wrongdoing is not held against you. God's eagerness to forgive is a testament to His benevolence, and the pathway to forgiveness is open to all who choose to receive it.

Choosing to accept God's forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ is a personal decision, emphasizing the profound connection between free will and divine grace. When man fell, our relationship with ABBA was broken, sin crept in, and the devil took sole advantage. Nonetheless, God’s ultimate plan came into full effect and man was restored to the point of glory and honor.

As a result of the forgiveness we enjoy in Christ, we are adopted into the family of God. Ephesians 3:14-15 “For this reason [seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ], I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name.” Isn’t it glorious! We are in God’s family by the death and forgiveness we enjoy in Christ Jesus.

Confession:

I am forgiven, I am not a sinner, I am redeemed, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen.
