STAY IN HIM

"I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, while I abide in him, produces much fruit..."
John 15:5
Main Text:

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

1 John 4:13

Too many people look at the Christian life and think to themselves, I can't do it. I can't live like that. Listen. It's not that we live for God through our own power. God does it through us. Yes, He wants our cooperation. Yes, He wants us to yield to His will. But it is God who gives us the strength to accomplish His will. Being a Christian essentially means Christ living inside of us. Christianity is not just about believing in the story about Jesus. It's not just about trying to follow His example. Christ Himself came into our lives and He is changing us.

When you abide in Him, you think about Him in everything and in steps you take in life. You think about Him when you first wake up. You think about His abilities throughout the day and continually in fellowship with Him in prayers, the study of His Word, seeking His Kingdom. You make Him your number one priority and stay connected to His will. Notice what this verse above says: you will produce much fruit. When you are connected to God, everything you set your hand to will be fruitful and blessed.

When you become a Christian, God gives you the strength to live the way He longs for you to live. Have you recently been caught in the act of sin? Or perhaps you have been playing around with sin, I suggest that you run to His Kingdom as fast as you can. That's when you will hear those words, 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.' Do you know who God share’s His secrets with? He does share it with those that abide in Him in all situations. As believers, God’s Spirit lives inside of us, revealing to us the things of His Kingdom.

Prayer: I will abide and ever trust in You.
