THE POWERFUL NAME OF JESUS
“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:9-11

The name of Jesus Christ holds a profound significance, symbolizing power, redemption, and spiritual authority. Rooted in the New Testament scriptures, the belief in the potency of this name is central to faith, shaping practices such as prayer, worship, and engagement in spiritual battles. In Philippians 2:9-11, the Apostle Paul articulates the elevated status of Jesus, declaring that God bestowed upon him a name above all others. This scriptural passage underscores the belief that the name of Jesus carries unparalleled authority, compelling every being, whether in heaven, on earth, or beneath it, to bow and acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord.
The name of Jesus Christ is sacred and powerful weapon God has made available to the believer. The name of Jesus Christ is available to believers who are authorized to use the name, Jesus Christ. Victory is guaranteed, when the name is used. The act of invoking the name is more than a mere linguistic expression, the invocation of the name of Jesus releases the power of God to the believer.
The name of Jesus is the ultimate source of confidence and empowerment. The act of invoking this sacred name is brings about victory in life's battles, it also serves as a powerful tool for believers to overcome challenges and obstacles that comes their way. As believers, we are fully convinced of the power within the name of Jesus. When we pray, we have the power of Jesus at work within us. Our lives as Christians are lived from a place of acknowledging the power in Jesus' name.

I have the name of Jesus; therefore, I decree by the name that I am a success, I am a victor, I fulfil God’s plan and purposes for my life, I am a sign and a wonder in Jesus’ name, Amen.
