BLESS THE LORD O MY SOUL
Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.â€
Psalm 104:1
Main Text:
The greatest exercise your soul can engage in is to continually meditate on the Word of God and give ceaseless praises to the Almighty. If your soul is not meditating on His goodness or rejoicing continually in the provisions of God, you are nothing but an ingrate. What else do you want when you have place to lay your head, there is food to eat and you have clothes to wear? See how healthy and beautiful you look today! Wow! Maybe you are waiting to have some fat pay in your bank accounts or build a gigantic house in…before you can be thankful? You can’t just be serious! Have you forgotten how you were delivered from the brief illness that killed some rich and powerful? Have so forgotten the favour, grace and mercy God showered on you where you should have been naked and humiliated? Have you forgotten so soon the debt you paid without losing your properties? Oh may be you could not remember God gave you the power to be wealthy in the first instance. The Psalmist says: “Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. “Psalm 63:7. Bless the Lord Sir/Ma!
God is good and there’s no single time that God shouldn’t be praised even in your seasons of the so called ‘lack’.
Listen beloved, by your strength alone, you can do nothing. It’s wisdom for you to consider the goodness of the Lord and allow your soul to praise Him with your resources and offerings.
Your worship and sacrificial offering today will only attract blessings and peace for you! If you can see His love you will be compelled to appreciate Him.
Don’t allow your soul to be corrupted with worldly activities. If God rejects you for just a minute, the whole world will pity you. It’s of His mercies that we are not consumed. Keep rejoicing in His Kingdom.
Prayer: Lord, I appreciate your goodness in my life and crave to love you more
