PRAYER

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”
Luke 18:1
Main Text: Matthew 21

Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us. It is imperative for God’s people to be on their knees. However, knowing how to pray is not always easy. The disciples felt the same confusion.

The easiest way to understand prayer is to know that prayer is a conversation with God and every conversation begins by addressing the person to whom you are speaking to by name. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus begins with “Our Father in heaven” He focuses on a distinct person — ABBA.

A heartfelt thank You is always a great conversation starter. Like any person, God loves to see that we have grateful hearts. Praise opens the gates of heaven and should always be part of our alone time with God.

Confession

I thank You Father for your blessings spoken over my life. I thank you for your faithfulness and love towards me. I commit to a deeper relationship with You Lord, in Jesus name, Amen.
