WHAT ARE YOU REALLY DOING?
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses. â€
Acts 1:8
Main Text:
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a hierarchical thing or seniority that showcases your rank of membership in a Christian gathering. The Holy Spirit is a powerful force within a believer that enables him/her for spiritual exploits on the earth. The Spirit of the Lord is at work in a regenerated soul. If you lack adequate empowerment by the Holy Spirit, you will remain a mediocre in your assignments. It’s practically difficult or rather impossible to work with God without the in-filling of the Spirit of God which is your first give as born again Christian.
You are not created a star to be limited to your church or location. God made you light to the entire world. You are expected to shine across the boundaries of the nations of the world. It’s always surprising if not embarrassing to see believers quarrel over position of authority in church. There are thousands of souls out there waiting for someone to show them the way out of their critically sinful states. Why are you so comfortable where you are? He’s sending you across the globe even to the uttermost parts of the earth. Get out of your comfort zone and take the gospel to the neighborhood. It’s another quarter of the year and you cannot boast of speaking the good news of Jesus to anyone yet. You freely share… jokes, gossips on social media on your smartphones, laptop computers etc. but there’s no trace of the message of Christ on any of these not even your Facebook timelines. You are so free with sinners that we can’t differentiate you from them but you find it difficult to join evangelism group. Where is the calling of God upon your life? Are you waiting or wasting? Beloved, God called you out of darkness into His marvellous light so that you can shine to this sinful world.
Prayer: Charge me to be useful for your mission O Lord
