HAVE GOD’S NATURE
“Therefore be imitators of God (copy Him and follow His example) as well- beloved children (imitate their father). And walk in love…â€
Ephesians 5:1 – 2a AMP
Main Text:
I wonder how some people claim to be believers and in the real sense of it there is nothing to show for it. The only way to justify your confession of Christ as your Lord is by following and living your life after Christ. I heard of a female pastor of a Pentecostal church who is always paying lip service in order to get the good side of her boss thereby becoming a stumbling block to others from accepting Jesus; because of her eye service at work she would always ensure her colleagues are at the wrong record of the management; would you say this is indeed a Godly character? Let your character attests to godly nature in you.
When people look at you, do they see Christ nature/picture? In the natural, you have characteristics of your father or mother to belong to their family lineage. We should also have the characteristics of our heavenly Father. We should display His likeness. We should behave as He would in all things, too. We should study Him and imitate Him as the little children do imitate their earthly parents.
If we show Christ nature in life He will watch over His Word to bring it to pass in us! Stand strong today knowing that you serve the God who sees and makes a way for you God will glorify Himself in us and we will shine and reign well in this 2019!
The Bible tells us that God is love. When you imitate God, when you do things His way, you get His results! And God’s ways always lead to life, freedom and blessing. The more you imitate your heavenly Father on earth the more we are expanding His kingdom on earth. In today’s world, people are watching us to know what to say and if we mess up they will be disappointed and criticize us instantly.
Prayer: Help me to always represent You well O Lord.
