ONE THING IS NEEDFUL 1
“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.â€
Luke 10:42
Main Text:
I welcome you into Year 2020. Our theme for the year is …ONE THING…
Spiritual exercise is the most important engagement that should take your time this year 2020. You must walk with the mindset that “bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8). The only profitable thing for you now is the Word of God becoming unwavering standard in your life.
The power of the revealed Word of God is vital and very crucial. If God is truly revealed unto you, all other aspects of your destiny will automatically fall in place and you will live a fulfilled tremendous life. The calamity of so many lives is their unwillingness to seek the Truth in God’s Word. We like to run after earthly riches, forgetting that having God automatically guarantees your access to every good thing of life. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33).
If you seek Him, you will find Him especially when you seek Him with the whole of your heart. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth….” (Joshua 1:8).
The Bible is the only book of life and the best book that guarantees good success. You can access all the treasures of heaven and of the earth if you are diligent enough to read, meditate and apply the principles of God to your life. You need a closer walk with God through the Word of life. “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63). Beloved, desire a reawakening in your spirit man and a life of eternal prosperity in this 2020.
.Prayer: Father, please give me direct access to your word and deliver me from the works of the flesh.
