PRESENT YOUR STRONG REASONS

“Present your case, says the LORD, Bring forth your strong reasons, says the King of Jacob.”
Isaiah 41: 21
Main Text:

For a long time, many people have seen God the way He is not. For instance, a woman had told me that she had just received the spirit of gentleness from God because she had been a person prone to anger. She mentioned also that she desired to speak in tongues but that she needed to wait for about 2 yrs before she asked God. When I tried to probe into why she would have to wait for 2 yrs I realized she had a poor understanding of God’s word. Her thought was that God needed to train her for that long before she could be qualified for the Holy Spirit impartation. How naïve she was about God’s word? She’s like the woman in John 4, that Jesus told that she did not know who she was worshipping.

In the text above, we see that God expects us to petition Him, just like it is done in a court session with a judge where a lawyer presents the case of his clients before the judge. Of course no one can petition God in the true sense of it because His authority is unquestionable and His face no man can behold.

Similarly, God expects us to bring our reasons to him. Reasons why you should not remain barren, reasons why you must not fail, why you should live, why you should succeed. If things are going the way you don’t bargain and you are a believer (living a godly life), then tell Him the reason His promise must be fulfilled to you and I know, His words must be fulfilled in your life. The only way to the heart of God is through His Word. Bring forth your strong reasons, He said. The Bible says God honors His Word above His name. The Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword. Hebrews 5:12
