CONSIDER OTHERS

“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
Phil 2:4-5
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: MATTHEW 28:18-20

The gospel is not meant for selfish people; it is all about others. We must cultivate the habit of thinking about others. The Apostle Paul taught that we shouldn’t only focus on our own affairs but also on the needs of others. Jesus exemplified this by leaving heaven and coming to earth for our sake—He thought about others, and today we are His brothers and sisters because of His selfless act.

We need to abandon the selfish nature of humanity and genuinely consider others. The wealth God has blessed you with is not just for you and your family; it is meant to benefit others as well. We should use our resources to support kingdom expansion and give others the opportunity to hear about Jesus. It’s all about others.

The story of William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army, illustrates the power of thinking about others. He once sent an important letter to all his leaders, and when they opened it, they found just one word: "OTHERS." This simple yet profound message captures the essence of a fruitful life in Christ. The secret to bearing much fruit is to focus on others.

Many people have gone to hell because we did not consider others. We must always keep others in our thoughts and actions. Every great person in scripture prioritized the well-being of others. In contrast, Nabal, who did not think of others, met a tragic end, and his wife was given to another. We must always consider others in all that we do, for it is in serving others that we truly fulfill God's purpose for our lives. The good-news is all about others.

Confession:

I am mindful of the needs of others, showing love and compassion in all that I do. I put others before myself, seeking to serve and uplift those around me. I strive to be a blessing, reflecting the heart of Jesus in every interaction. I am dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with all people. I go into the world, making disciples and teaching them to follow the Lord. My life is a testament to His saving grace, and I am committed to spreading His message of hope and salvation. I choose not to focus solely on my own interests or desires but instead look to the welfare of others. I seek to understand and meet their needs, supporting them in their journey with Christ. I live a life of selflessness, prioritizing the needs of others above my own.

John 4:25-30 “The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.”
