THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16
Main Text: Main text: Acts 1:8

The verse begins with the declaration, "For God so loved the world." This love is not partial or conditional; it extends to everyone regardless of race, background, or past. God's love is active and selfless, as demonstrated by His willingness to give His most precious treasure—His Son. This divine love is not based on human merit but on His very nature. As 1 John 4:8 states, "God is love." His love pursues, redeems, and restores, making it the foundation of our faith and relationship with Him.

The promise of John 3:16 hinges on one condition: "that whoever believes in Him should not perish." Belief is not merely intellectual assent; it is a wholehearted trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord. To believe in Him is to acknowledge His sacrifice, receive His forgiveness, and surrender our lives to His lordship. This invitation is universal—"whoever believes." No one is excluded from the offer of salvation. It is a reminder that God's arms are open to all who will come to Him in faith, regardless of their past mistakes or failures.

Knowing that God loves us so deeply should inspire us to love Him in return and share His love with others. As recipients of this amazing grace, we are compelled to live lives that reflect His love, pointing others to the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Confession:

I declare my unwavering love for Jesus! I reach out to the lost and boldly witness Christ to all men. Through me, many are drawn into His marvelous light. Hallelujah!
