BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND 2

“Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And the serpent (Satan) said to the woman, “Can it really be that God has said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?”” ??????
Genesis 3:1????????
Main Text: Main text: Genesis 3

It was in the battlefield of the mind that Satan gained access to Adam and Eve and defeated them. Notice that Satan attacked Eve’s mind. Speaking through the serpent, Satan dropped thoughts of doubt in the woman, he knew God had commanded Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but he tried to plant doubt in Eve’s mind. He wanted her to question God’s Word. This same old strategy is what Satan uses to defeat many believers today.

There are many Christians living in defeat today because they are listening to Satan’s lies. Instead of recognizing Satan as a liar and casting his lies out of their mind, they listen. Like Eve, they reason with him. When you listen as Eve did, you will give him access to your mind and open yourself up for defeat.

The day has come when God’s people must work in such a close, intimate relationship with Christ that they know his voice. You must consider every desire, imagination and thought process that enters your mind and is contrary to God’s Word. Refuse the lies of the devil, guard your mind with the absolute truth — God’s Word!

Confession

Satan be gone! I no longer have to listen to your lies. You are the prince of lies, I am blessed by faithful Abraham, it’s God’s will for me to walk in divine health, therefore from the top of my head to the sole of my feet, I am strengthened! I am blessed!

Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”

John 10:3-5 “The doorkeeper opens [the gate] for this man, and the sheep hear his voice and pay attention to it. And [knowing that they listen] he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out [to pasture]. When he has brought all his own sheep outside, he walks on ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.””
