PROFIT ON THE WORD

“And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and, as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper”
2 Chronicles 26:5 (Webster)
Main Text: Joshua 1:8-10

The world’s definition of prosperity is very limited in its scope – it’s all about financial ability and power. You can have all the money in the world and still be spiritually, mentally and physically poverty stricken. To prosper is to excel and go to the highest place in anything desired. Prosperity is not an accident. It’s not a function of circumstances or the economy.

According to the Word, prosperity is a choice. It’s a personal decision and a spiritual process. Believe what God says about true prosperity. Isa 1:19 “If ye are willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” You must train yourself to think in line with God’s Word, for therein lies your key to unending riches. There’s nothing wrong about prosperity, contrary to what you may have heard, money is not the root of all evil. The love of money is the root of all evil (1 Tim 6:10) and there are people committing that sin who don’t have a dime, money is not the only measurement of prosperity! God wants you to prosper in your spirit, physical body, business, and finances. God’s yardstick is all round prosperity!

Confession: I am prosperous, I live in abundance, I support the kingdom with the blessing of the Lord upon my life, I am a giver, I live in plenty! Praise the Lord.

Further Reading: Joshua 1:8 (Webster) “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate in it day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Leviticus 26:3-5 (ESV) "If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely.”
