TRAIN YOUR SPIRIT!
“It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world.”
Titus 2:12 (AMP)
Main Text: Main text: Jude 20
Just as an athlete undergoes rigorous training to improve skills and push boundaries, we can apply the same principle to spiritual matters. Hebrews 5:14 highlights the importance of continuous exercise in training our faculties to distinguish between good and evil.
Training in the spiritual realm involves exposing ourselves daily to the things we want to embody. Much like an athlete repeats motions until they become second nature, spending time with God is akin to spiritual practice. Diligently engaging in this practice strengthens our spirit, enabling it to overcome the habits of the flesh.
Becoming a "spirit athlete" involves intentional training to develop a lifestyle aligned with the things of God. Through consistent spiritual exercise, we can grow and mature, discerning and embodying the principles of goodness and righteousness.
Confession:
In the name of Jesus, I am strengthened in my inner man, I discipline myself to walk with God. I am not a sluggard, I am not slothful, I experience divine encounters with God. Amen.

Jude 20 (AMP) “But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit.”
2 Peter 1:5-9 (NKJV) “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
