FOLLOWING CHRIST

“And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”
Matt 10:38
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: Matthew 6:33

A life of self-denial is a life called to follow Jesus. To truly say we are following Christ, we must willingly carry our cross and walk in His footsteps. One of the profound secrets to prosperity and experiencing the true riches of God is found in the art of following Christ. For any family to experience true, lasting riches, they must be willing to take up their cross, denying themselves certain pleasures for the sake of Christ's work.

Joshua demonstrated this in Joshua 24:15, saying, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua’s decision to follow and serve God, even when it was difficult or unpopular, became one of the keys to the prosperity he enjoyed.

The ability to choose and follow God when it seems unpleasant or challenging is a hidden secret to unlocking divine prosperity. Just as Joshua led his household in choosing the Lord, families today can experience true wealth by committing fully to Christ.

Confession:

I declare that my family and I will serve the Lord wholeheartedly. We choose God above all, and we enjoy the abundant blessings that come with being in Christ Jesus. Amen.
