THE HOPE OF GLORY

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Colossians 1:27 (KJV)
Main Text: Colossians 3:1-4

The glory of God has made you a new creation. How do I know that my life is going to be glorious it’s simply because Christ is in me! That’s my hope for a successful life! The Greater One lives inside of you. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit came upon certain people to empower them for service and when they’ve done His bidding, He would leave for a season. The New Testament believer have a different experience – The Spirit dwells in us permanently.

The permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit, given to the New Testament church was/is a mystery to the Old Testament saints. The Bible says when He died, I died with Him; when he was buried, I was buried with Him; and when God raised him from the dead, I was raised together with Him. And now that I’ve been raised together with Him, and made to sit together with Him in the heavenly realms, no more death; no more defeat; no more sickness; in Him I live now and forever

The hope of glory is the fulfillment of God’s promise to restore us and all creation. Hope in this context isn’t wishful thinking, however, it’s the confident, expectant, joyful knowledge that we are being changed by God and will one day see Christ face to face having being conformed to His image.

Confession: Christ lives in me, therefore, I am victorious, I am bold as a Lion, I enjoy strengthen and vitality! I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me! Glory to God!
