DWELLING IN SAFETY

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust”
Psalm 4:8
Main Text:

Have you thought about why people build strong room in the banks? The reason is whatever is kept there is always heavily secured. If you accept Jesus as your savior you are in a strong room of heaven. Even when the storms of life come against you, as long as you are dwelling in Him, you dwell in safety and nothing can take away your peace. The Bible says, “Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day” (Psalm 91:5). Verse nine of the same Chapter says, “Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation.” This simply means, “No more fear!” Stop the fear! Whatever you want to do, declare, “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress; I refuse to fear...”

What does it mean to dwell in Christ? One of the definitions of the word “dwell” means to keep your attention directed towards God, the more you will know Him the more confidence you will have in Him. When you focus your heart and mind on the Word of God and declare His promises over your life, you are dwelling in safety,

Are you facing a difficult situation? Give your attention to the Father. God wants you to enjoy your life. That’s why He tells us to come to Him. When you understand that God wants to take care of everything that concerns you, you will be able to find rest. Imagine that someone comes up to you today and say, “Give me all your children school fees bills for the next 3 years, I’m going to pay them, how would you feel, be sincere? But it wouldn’t happen until you did your part to give that person the school bills for 3 years. In the same way, when we release our burdens unto God, what happens?

Prayer:  Keep me and my family in the Palm of Your hand O Lord
