QUIET TIME: READ YOUR BIBLE EVERYDAY

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
James 4:8
Main Text: Matthew 6:33

Quiet time is a dedicated moment you spend alone with the Lord, building intimacy and expressing your love for Him. It's a time to withdraw from the distractions of the world and focus solely on ministering to your first love—God. Developing good habits is essential, and one of the most impactful habits you can cultivate is the daily practice of spending time with Jesus. A key way to stay connected with the Lord is by reading your Bible every day.

Psalm 119:105 says, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." This highlights the importance of cultivating the habit of daily engagement with God’s Word, as it illuminates our path and guides our steps. Regular Bible reading not only directs us but also reveals God's character and His divine revelation to His people.

As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Phillips) states, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the faith and correcting error, for re-setting the direction of a man’s life and training him in good living. The Scriptures are the comprehensive equipment of the man of God and fit him fully for all branches of his work." Daily communion with the Lord through His Word comprehensively equips us with everything we need for life and godliness.

Confession:
I remain steadfast in the Word of God. It is my guide, my foundation, and my source of truth. I meditate on the Scriptures day and night, allowing them to shape my thoughts, actions, and decisions. Through God’s Word, I have been given everything I need for life and godliness. His promises equip me with wisdom, strength, and provision to live a life that pleases Him. I lack nothing because God’s Word supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory.
