EXPECT A HARVEST
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Luke 6:38 (NKJV)
Main Text: Main Text: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
The principle of sowing and reaping is a fundamental concept taught by Jesus Himself. In Luke 6:38, Jesus declares that when you give, it will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. However, some believers mistakenly shy away from expecting to receive when they give.
Drawing an analogy from farming, it would be considered foolish for a farmer to let his crop rot in the field after planting seeds. Likewise, it is irresponsible to give financial seeds and neglect the harvest that God has promised. God desires us not only to give but also to receive from the seeds we plant, not for selfish hoarding but for generous giving.
God's intention is for us to prosper and be prepared to support ourselves, have an abundance for every good work, and be generous in our charitable donations. This prosperity is not just for personal gain but to extend the reach of the gospel to those in need.
Confession:
I am anointed to prosper, excelling in all I do. As a giver, I have an excellent spirit, and wealth and riches are in my house. I am a lender, not a borrower, and the wealth in my hands will be used to spread the gospel around the world, in Jesus' name. Amen.
