THE OFFERING FOR OUR SINS

Righteousness is a free gift of God provided by Jesus at Calvary through the grace of God. It’s not a “candy” way of acting or something which can be attained. This doesn’t refer to your own good moral life – our righteousness (our good moral life) is described as a filthy rag before God according to Isaiah 64:6. However, we have been bestowed the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We have sometimes confused righteousness with holiness. We think righteousness is the way we act. No! Holiness is your conduct while righteousness is what you are, the nature of God bestowed on you.

When we accept Jesus as the offering for our sins, we have been put in right standing with God. Jesus is the Mediator between God and man. We moved into a position of new birth. Righteousness then becomes a driving force, a security force that will rise up within you and cause you to overcome flesh. It will enable you to face the storms of life and triumph over them. The reality of your righteous status, enables you (a believer) to do the impossible. Jesus died so you could be righteous, you are not an old washed up sinner! You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus by virtue of His being the offering for your sins! Hallelujah!

Confession: I declare, I am the righteousness of God in Christ! Therefore, I live a victorious life! I have the divine life in me! The Greater One lives inside of me! I am blessed!
