MIXED MULTITUDE

“And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.”
Luke 16:15
Main Text:

There are several negative actions you may never take and several evil speakings you may never know nor utter until you find yourself among the wrong company or in bad associations. Nothing corrupts good manners like evil company. If you are not mindful of the company you keep, you will miss it sorely. It’s important therefore that you carefully watch the type of people that want to join themselves unto you.

And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, who shall give us flesh to eat?” (Numbers 11:4). If you will sit yourself down and rethink, you will discover how many times you fell from grace to grass due to the counsel of some ungodly people around you. Some of the steps you are taking right now must be corrected because they’re not the counsel of God for you. Your current lifestyle may not be looking anything close to that of Christ because you didn’t get them from the scriptures. They are suggestions from the multitude of unbelievers that you allowed into your life, business and home.

The mixed multitude pressurised the Israelites to sin against God and while they were getting on with the result, the Lord slew them! “And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.” (Numbers 11:33). Don’t allow the Lord’s anger to come upon you because you permit the dictates of sinners. You can’t enjoy God until you reject that deceiver in your life. Don’t allow any group of people to cause you to leave God. Stay devoted and committed to God. It shall be well with you.

Prayer: Lord, keep me safe from wrong associations
