DO NOT REJECT GOD

“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised”
Romans 11:25
Main Text:

God is sovereign. He is not accountable to anyone. He does what He wills. He does no wrong. His patience does not mean slackness. He does all things at His time.

God is the only one who can truly satisfy our heart. When people reject Him, they will seek alternative ways to fill the emptiness within them. But when they turn to something or someone other than God to give meaning to their life, the result is idolatry. From there, they quickly step into immorality in an attempt to gratify their desires but eventually discover that they still feel empty.

God initially settled the Amorites in the land generally referred to as Canaan. But the nation that dwelt in the land was wicked and abominable more than could be imagined. They provoked God in every way and as punishment, He decided to eject them from the land and give it to the children of Abraham the Israelites.

As you consider your life, there is the need to watch and be careful. Remember the cliché, “No condition that is permanent.” Do not reject God. It doesn’t matter what you are experiencing right now. The man that rejects God can be on top today and be on the ground tomorrow. Your greatness depends on how you are standing before God. He can take away what intoxicates you and give it to someone else with right stand. He can also take you from the dunghill to the mountain top so far you have relationship with Him.

You can depend on Him, hold fast to your confession, your relationship with God, your faith in Him and you will not be disappointed. But turning away from Him is dangerous as that usually makes God to do nothing whenever you are dealt with by the devil.

Happy workers’ day!

Prayer: I will live to please You everyday of my life O Lord
