PRAYER – REFUSING DOUBT 1

“And Jesus answered them, "Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' it will happen. And whatever y
Matthew 21:21-22 (ESV)
Main Text:

One of the Satan’s skills is to use doubt in a cunning way to cause you to fail. He knows how much you lose when you waver. He constantly tries to throw doubt and unbelief into your consciousness. Once you begin to doubt whether you have the answer, Satan will try to secure a foothold in your mind and if you grant him access, he will gradually increase his influence. He knows your faith will become ineffective and cause you to be defeated.

Doubt operates in the mental realm, while God’s word operates in the spiritual realm. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” (NKJV) Matthew 14:28-31 “And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" (NKJV) Peter’s battle was not with natural forces. The combat was spiritual. Natural law was subject to the power inherent in Jesus word “Come” by stepping out of the boat, Peter acted on the authority in that word. We can walk in the supernatural in spite of life’s storms raging against us. Our Spiritual weapons are mighty.
