UNLESS YOU BREAK THE RULE

“My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips”.
Psalm 89: 34
Main Text:

Sometimes ago as a young believer, God warned me severally about a particular thing. The warning was so clear and vivid. I had no problem figuring-out what He meant when He was warning, but I turned deaf ears due to my complacency and thinking (may be) God was not really warning me. This almost cost me everything I had- including my life. It later dawned on me why believers go through some things that make the unbelievers ask some questions. Like we have had cases of how some children of God were assassinated by robbers, how some have involved and died in a plane crash, and so on.

The Bible says the Father “…hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” Colossians 1:13. That a Christian lost his job, for instance, doesn’t mean he’s out of the glory. This glory is eternal: “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle youI Peter 5:10.

Give expression to His glory in your world. Spread the good news of Christ’s salvation. Let the world know that salvation in Christ Jesus is a calling to God’s Kingdom of glory, excellence, dominion and power.

How many things have you lost due to the reason that you don’t know what belongs to you, even when you pray? When God says; “a thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, they shall not come near you”, do you know that this means you don’t have to be scared of any threat of the enemy? If anything contrary to God’s word happens, you check your mind if really there is right application of His word in what you are doing. The truth is, His word CANNOT fail.

Prayer:  Help me O Lord to always keep Your ordinances.
