JESUS, THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.”
Phil 2:9 (KJV)
Main Text: Main text: John 1:1
After Jesus willingly poured Himself out for humanity in complete submission to God's plan, God elevated Him to the highest place of honor. When the apostle Paul declares that Jesus has a name above all names, he signifies that Jesus possesses a name that acknowledges His absolute authority, lordship, and power over heaven and earth. It is a name that commands respect and inspires worship.
God, in ensuring that Jesus receives all the glory He deserves, bestowed upon Him the most honorable name. This name is so significant that at its mention, every knee must bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord (Phil 2:9-11). Seated in a place of honor at the right hand of God, Jesus is the risen one, the Savior, our Lord—forever exalted above all, possessing the name above all names.
Confession:
The name of Jesus is above all names. As an heir of God with Jesus as the head of the church, I declare in the name of Jesus that poverty, lack, and want bow to me. Sicknesses and diseases bow to me; I am an heir of God—the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
