THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
2 COR 5:18
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: ROMANS 5:8-10

Every child of God has been entrusted with a powerful ministry—the ministry of reconciliation. Jesus commands us in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” This command applies to everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. We are not Christians merely to enjoy the blessings of our faith, but to rescue others from eternal separation and lead them into everlasting life.

We must understand that every soul is precious to God. As a wise man once said, "Soul winning is the heartbeat of God." Scripture also tells us, “He that winneth souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30). It is true wisdom to dedicate ourselves to this ministry we are so privileged to be a part of. Sin created a barrier between God and humanity, a separation that no human effort could bridge. Knowing this, God took the first step by sending His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins and restore our relationship with Him. As Paul explains, “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them” (2 Corinthians 5:19). We are called to go into the world, sharing the blessedness of redemption, and reconciling people back to God through the power of the gospel.

Being redeemed is a great blessing, and being reconciled with God is truly marvelous. We must do all we can to help the lost experience what we enjoy in Christ. They need to know that they, too, have the opportunity to sit far above principalities and powers and that a genuine relationship with God is possible. It is essential that we dedicate ourselves fully to this ministry of reconciling people back to God.

CONFESSION:

Dear Lord, I thank You for choosing me and granting me the honor to proclaim Your Word of reconciliation. I am an ambassador of Your kingdom, boldly declaring the message of faith, love, and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
