MY STRENGTH

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)
Main Text: John 15:11-13

Joy is not a warm happy feeling you are supposed to have now and when things are going well. It’s much more important than that. Joy is one of the most spiritual forces in the world. If we remove the phrase “of the Lord”, we will discover that what this verse is saying is, “Joy is strength.”

Joy is so crucial for a successful Christian walk, we can’t walk with God perfectly, if we don’t have joy. You can’t live a life of faith without being strong in the Lord. Joy isn’t a state of mind, it isn’t a fleeting emotion, joy is a real force that comes from a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit. Just as fear submits to faith, discouragement and depression submits to joy!

Whatever circumstance you are faced with, decide to be full of joy, don’t give Satan a filled day by letting him steal your joy! You are strong in the Lord. You can draw on the supply of the Holy Spirit within you and come out on top, the joy of the Lord is in you, you are strengthened in your inner man! Praise God!

Confession: I have joy! I refuse to be depressed, Satan hath no power over me, I walk in the fullness of life, nothing missing and nothing broken, I am blessed of the Lord, I am strengthened, Praise God!
