MINISTERING TO THE LORD 1
“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.â€
Acts 13:2 (KJV)
Main Text:
A very important aspect of ministry God has given us as His Royal Priests is our ability to minister to the Lord. This takes precedence over other forms of ministry. When the Lord gave the Torah at Sinai; He established His people as an organized, worshipping army, furthermore, God showed the importance of ministering to Him by giving an entire tribe the primary responsibility to minister to Him. Deut 10:8.
King David was a successful king and warrior, He never lost a battle for God was with Him. It is therefore necessary we understand that one of the secret weapons for David was ministering to the Lord. When David brought back the ark to Jerusalem, He appointed and financed 4000 Levites for the express purpose of praising the Lord. These singers weren’t employed to provide entertainment, but to offer praises to the Lord every hour of the day. (1 Chron. 23:5)
When you as an individual choose to minister to the Lord, victory is guaranteed, a sure path to destiny is secured and the covenant of longevity is fulfilled. God loves you, however, do you love Him enough to minister before Him?
Confession: I choose you Lord, I choose to walk in your precepts, and minister to you. I encourage myself in the Lord. I am a kingdom financer, I minster to the Lord with my Spirit, soul, body and finances! Thereby, I advance in life.
